Tools for Mental Health Counseling Trainees

It takes about four to five years for a trainee to complete

1. The minimum of two years in a graduate program in mental health counseling and

2. The minimum of two years of employment as a registered intern for license to become a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida.

The following are tools for MHC trainees in my area of Florida to help them to develop a plan of action to help them find a practicum, internship and possible a registered internship setting where the trainee can receive clinical supervision from the same mental health setting for the time spent prior to becoming a LMHC.
