The following Chart is one you out to fill out on your own to help you better be prepared to understand the various psychotropic medications currently offered to clients who are experiencing a variety of mental health disorders. Be sure to put in the generic drug for each of the medications listed. Utilize the internet resources which are listed on this site.

  1. For each Diagnosis do a search in Emedicine: http://www.emedicine.com/ NOTE: you must be sure to open a free account to work in Emedicine. Once you are on emedicine it changes it name to Medscape and on Medscape you now can dowload a fantastic ap. Read this: Medscape The most comprehensive coverage on all psychiatric conditions including the evidenced based practices as well as the most uptodate coverage of the psychopharmacological treatment of these conditions. To be able to download the complete Medscape program you first must enroll with Medscape at: http://www.medscape.com/ when you sign up and register you then can download this information to any Iphone, Ipad, or smartphone.   2. You will then be presented with a series of Emedicine articles, chose the articles for each diagnosis you have identified which is related to a category like: depression
  3. Review each diagnosis's article in Emedicine and find the specific medications recommended for the specific conditions: you will be able to fine enough information in these articles to fill out the rest of the grid.
