Optimism
This is a self-tracking application, designed to help people increase their understanding of all the things that affect their mental health. Positive Activity Jackpot (for smartphones only) This app uses a professional behavioral health therapy called pleasant event scheduling, or PES. This is used to overcome depression. While this app does not require clinical training to use, it should not be sued as a substitue for treatment by a therapist. The Virtual Hope Box (VHB)
VHB is a smartphone application designed for use by patients and their behavioral health providers as an accessory to treatment. The VHB contains simple tools to help patients with coping, relaxation, distraction, and positive thinking. Patients and providers can work together to personalize the VHB content on the patient's own smartphone according to the patient's specific needs. DOD Safe Helpline
This app is set up for military personnel to cope and deal with the short-term and long-term effects of sexual assault. This app can also be used by civilian because it includes emergency contact information; a Chat Safe Helpline; a Self-Care Planner; and Resources including lesson on sexual assault and exercises which one can use in dealing with the aftermath of this unfortunate act. PE Coach
Prolonged Exposure Coach app is for clients as they work with their clinicians dealing with the use of prolonged exposure therapy to deal with PTSD. This app allows the clients to record the PE clinical sessions as an audio file which is used as homework in between sessions. It provides reminders for homework, keeping track of tasks accomplished between sessions, and keeps track of the PTSD related symptoms experienced by the client over time. This is not a self-help tool for clients but to be used only as clients are involved with their therapists who are using PE with them to treat their PTSD. PTSD Coach
PTSD Coach app is intended to be used as an adjunct to psychological treatment, but can also serve as a stand-alone education tool. Key features of the app include psychoeducation about trauma, PTSD and treatment, self-assessment of PTSD symptoms, the ability to track changes in symptoms over time, and introduction to self-help techniques to manage symptoms of PTSD such as systematic relaxation. In addition, this app provides assistance in finding immediate support by helping the user to identify personal sources of emotional support, populating the phone with those phone numbers, and providing link to treatment programs.
